Back on-line no CGNAT can stop me!

This blog have been offline for about a month or two. My telco suddenly deployed CGNAT to their subscribers and my router could no longer get Public IP. What is CGNAT? Carrier Grade NAT or CGNAT is a mechanism deployed by internet providers to prevent exhaustion of IP address. The pandemic caused most people to just stay at home; work from home; online class; and the number of internet subscriptions increased. As a result, my telco just decided to implement CGNAT without informing the subscribers of the change. Before CGNAT was implemented my assigned Public IP is the same as my WAN IP. Docker: Dock and Control

My Home Assistant have been running on HassOS. I have understood that this also runs its own Docker Environment for the plugins. The key plugins that I am using is as follows: Nginx proxy managerSSH terminalmotionEyeConfiguratorPiHole The Nginx proxy manager takes care of forwarding external requests going to my network. One of the downsides of having it run inside HassOS is the addon will also restart when HassOS is restarted. Most of the time (without considering carefully) restart my HassOS and then loss the proxy manager and access to my network. So I decided to change my configuration. Internet connection nowadays is part of the basic needs.. Network problems and complains around the house would be only be 2 things. At Azure House our internet is from PLDT, and luckily we don't encounter any major issue.. Mind you the last problem we had lasted 3 weeks. The digital era.. We do keep a lot of files, maybe lots of junk of files but does not have the time to browse and filter them out. The files that we have kept since as long as I can remember (just maybe until 2008) vary from old source codes, old emails and mostly old pictures (and more pictures).
